Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description:
The RND Group, Inc., a software engineering firm specializing in the support of product development, including, but not limited to, medical device and consumer electronics product development, is seeking to expand its Quality Assurance team. This position primarily involves working as part of a project team, leading quality assurance activities, including estimating, planning, writing and executing testing plans. This position also includes maintaining and evolving the RND Group quality system, including authoring procedures and work instructions, auditing quality system performance, and ensuring project compliance. It is expected that the candidate will lead the RND Group into compliance with various industry quality standards.

Job Activities:

    • Managing project-related QA activities, including: providing estimates for testing activities, delivering testing that meets customer requirements, and managing the QA process on individual projects.
    • Writing software testing plans.
    • Writing and executing software testing protocols and execution reports.
    • Managing and maintaining the RND Group quality system and ensuring compliance with the system.
    • Maintaining awareness of federal regulations, including FDA Quality System Regulations 21 CFR Part 11 Electronic Records, Electronic Signatures, and 21 CFR Part 820 Quality Systems for Medical Devices.
    • Participating in customer meetings and presentations as a Quality System expert.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Have a BS in Computer Science or related field.
    • Have no less than 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance – Supervisory role, or as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst with either a software product or a life sciences company.
    • Possess a strong desire to understand regulatory quality systems and compliance.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

    • Experience with software testing, including test planning, design, and implementation for a software product.
    • Ability to lead small test teams to deliver QA products.
    • Experience with writing test documentation for FDA-regulated software products.
